More accidents have occurred on Lammack Road as residents begin to question why traffic calming has not yet been installed despite it being promised in September.
The latest crash involved a Porsche and a van not long after another accident outside the Hare & Hounds pub on the same road. Local resident Tommy Temperley, who organised the original petition and has campaigned against speeding in the area for years, said "Someone could be killed if we don’t get something done fast. They do come down this road very fast. They have the school here and we need get people to slow down”.
Blackburn Conservatives will now push the Council for answers on when the traffic calming can be expected.
