Bus Stop

The government has given the Council a grant of £56,788 to introduce 3 new bus routes for the Borough.

One route will run between Darwen and Blackburn town centre via Lower Darwen, Guide, Royal Blackburn Hospital, North Road and Audley Range. This service has been campaigned for by Conservative MP Jake Berry and it will have 10 trips per day Monday to Friday.

There will also be a new peak service from Blackburn town centre  to Whitebirk industrial estate for workers. Return journeys will be handled by the existing Service 3 Sunny Bower service.

Another route will see off-peak rural services introduced between Darwen and Edgworth.

Conservative candidate for Audley & Queens Park, Tiger Patel, said "A new bus service for Audley connecting it to the hospital and town centre is great news. I am pleased that the government has invested in our local bus services".
